Bettws y Crwyn is a dispersed parish. It has a Church, a Chapel and a Church Hall.

Sadly the Anchor Inn is no longer our local pub, but an enthusiastic group of Parish Hall committee members run a ‘Pop-up-Pub ‘ once a month, and a number of social events take place in the Parish Hall. Bettws y Crywn residents have been enthusiastic supporters of the newly acquired Crown Inn at Newcastle, our neighbouring village.

The Parish Hall is run by a dedicated team of committee members who have worked extremely hard to refurbish the Hall in recent years. Flicks in the sticks, Zumba and Table tennis are also regular events.

The Black Mountain Chapel runs events supporting The Arts, and is also undergoing refurbishment – again run by a dedicated group of trustees.

St Mary’s church has events which also bring people together with acts of worship, celebratory events and coffee mornings.

There is also a thriving Women’s Institute, a choir and a Linus group.
